Liverpool remain doubts to lift the Premier League title this year after their stunning loss to underperforming Swansea whilst at home in a critical part of the season.

The loss soared the confidence of league leaders Chelsea particularly after Tottenham – another major contender – played a draw with Manchester City.

The victory would help Swansea rise from the bottom of the table. Reds coach Jurgen Klopp was hurt with the result.

“We came back ad played really good, deserved the first and second goal. Actually the most disappointing moment as their goal. I have no explanations for this at this moment. We should have had four or five possibilities to make a challenge but at the end of guy is free in our box,” the German coach said after the game.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, who joined to become an academy coach at the club, admitted that the club would have a long way to go if Chelsea get their win over Hull City.

Swansea could see a revival with the win under Coach Paul Clement with the win though the road ahead is still very challenging. They ended Liverpool’s unbeaten run for over a year at home. Fernando Llorente was the man that did the damage. The forward grabbed his third brace in the Premier League this season. He could have had an hat trick but his effort did not go in. He would have become the first person since Andrei Arshavin to score a hat trick at Anfield. The Russian actually scored four during his time in 2009.

Arshavin arrived from Zenit St Petersburg highly recommended. Before the Liverpool match he scored just twice but he made a huge mark at Anfield that day.

Firmino countered with a brace but it was not enough. Divock Origi came on and had a good attempt on target but the opposition goalkeeper denied him. Liverpool are now faraway from the EPL, yet again.
